Clak, the energy bar you can open with a flick of the hand in one second flat !
Body-building Cycling during Fitness Nature sports News Nutrition running Team sportsNo more headaches trying to open your cereal bar, Clak revolutionises the world of sports nutrition, it’s so easy and simple to open. Whether cycling, hiking or on a ski lift, this cereal bar can be opened with a flick of the hand in one second flat, making life easier for every sportsman and woman.
Clak, the solution that answers the needs of sports enthusiasts
Listening to everyone’s needs and requirements, Aptonia designed Clak to help sportsmen and women with their simplest of actions. The idea sprang from a very real observation which concerned us one day… You must remember packaging torn off with great difficulty in several pieces which ending up in the surrounding countryside. During sporting activity you hardly ever find a bin nearby, especially when you’re on a ski lift or on a Trail! Just remember the moment when you had to let go of the handlebars while cycling or stop while running to open your snack.
A cyclist and walker tells us that “it’s very difficult to open a cereal bar during sporting activity, especially on a bike.We have to concentrate on opening the bar and we lose control of what we’re doing”. In fact, whatever the activity, location or context, the sportsman or woman concentrating on opening badly designed packaging is in danger of falling or exhausting their energy quota if they postpone satisfying their nutritional needs to later on.
The Aptonia team, always ready to take on a challenge, has designed, tested and created a solution that enables you to open its energy bar while still concentrating on your sporting efforts: the Clak system !
An innovation in sports nutrition: 1 movement, 1 second
Testing, design, packaging, everything has been thought of to create an energy bar which fits in with your sporting activity.
We met Thibaut Guiraudie, head of design at Aptonia : “Starting with observation and ideas, the Aptonia team got together and carried out a multitude of tests using paper, fabric and sellotape,…to create prototypes of packaging that could be opened easily during sporting activity. When we found the best solution, based on a system of pre-cut packaging, we tested the prototype with some customers. At the same time, we had to work on the packaging design to differentiate the Clak product and enable sportsmen and women to understand how to use it at one glance.”
Anne-Sophie Pioger, nutrition product manager, highlighted the issue that this innovative product addresses: “thanks to Aptonia, sportmen and women no longer have to choose between eating and practising their sport: Clak allows them to do both. It’s also a first step towards respect for the environment as the part you tear off stays attached to the packaging and no longer flies off into the surrounding countryside“. An extra strong point!
So the Antonia team has worked to make sure that the packaging on cereal bars is no longer a hindrance for sportsmen and women, on the contrary: The colours, shapes and even the noise made when opening the Clak bar is the end result of research, tests and strong team work.
Clak’s easy-open system allows cereal bars to be opened very easily with the flick of a hand, in less than one second.
